Finchetts customers are getting their hands on the new Philmac PUSH before it reaches other retailers. If you join PE pipe for a living, do yourself a favour and give them a go.
Plumbers are being asked to deliver more work, faster, with fewer hands on site. Philmac PUSH is a tool-free pushfit system for metric pressure PE pipe, built to take three common headaches off your plate.
1. Slow joins that eat into your day
Traditional compression fittings mean tools, tightening and extra steps on every joint. With PUSH, you push the pipe to a positive stop and the seal and grip engage straight away. No tools, no tightening.
That time adds up across dozens of joins a day. It also makes life easier in tight pits, meter boxes and awkward spots where there’s no room to swing a spanner; and new apprentices pick it up quickly.
2. Not knowing if the joint is right
PUSH gives you clear tactile feedback when the pipe is home, so you know the seal and grip have engaged before you backfill or pressure test.
Need to reposition something? PUSH fittings can be disassembled and reassembled, so a change of plan doesn’t mean cutting in a new fitting.
3. Fittings that don’t last in the ground
Australian conditions are hard on fittings. PUSH is Australian Made from UV and corrosion resistant polypropylene, and Philmac has built it for 50 years of performance.
Before launch, it was put through more than 150 field test sites, including long-term underground testing and extreme weather exposure.

Push. Done. Ask the Finchetts team about Philmac PUSH next time you’re in store, or give us a call and have it on your next job before anyone else.
Note: PUSH isn’t suited to compressed air or positive displacement pumps where line pressure drops to zero between cycles. Philmac recommends EasyLOK fittings for those jobs.
