Celebrating 50 years with Finchetts: John Pollack retires

December 24, 2025

This week marks a significant milestone at Finchetts as John “Pol” Pollack finishes up after an extraordinary 50 years with the company.

Pol is one of the last original Finchetts employees, beginning his general plumbing apprenticeship with Ted and building a long, varied career within the business. Over the years, he played a major role working on our gas and fuel contract, becoming a familiar and trusted part of that work.

In more recent years, Pol transitioned into a full-time machine operator role, working closely with the team on site and contributing to a wide range of tasks including trenching and general site works. His willingness to adapt, pitch in and support the team has always been a hallmark of his approach.

Reaching 50 years with one company is a rare achievement and a reflection of loyalty, skill and dedication. We thank Pol for everything he has contributed to Finchetts and congratulate him on an outstanding career.

We wish him all the very best in this next phase of life.
