Our history
Locally-owned Finchett’s began offering plumbing services in 1954 when 14-year-old Ted Finchett started the business with just forty pounds in his pocket.
From those humble beginnings, we made history as the first in Hamilton to partner with Vinidex and introduce innovative plastic plumbing fittings, reshaping the local industry. The bright orange vans you see around town, inspired by a yellow dump truck Ted spotted in Melbourne, have since become a proud symbol of our commitment to the community.
Decades later, we continue to serve our community with pride, delivering trusted plumbing services and staying connected to the town we’ve always called home.
